Improving the user-friendliness of electronic public services
In the coming years, public administrations should expand their range of e-services and make them more user-friendly and attractive. Digital services that are as audience-appropriate, standardised and resource-saving as possible are needed for the general public and businesses. The currently very mixed and fragmented portal landscape should become more uniform and better connected.
E-services must be easy to find and use
The Federal Chancellery and the operators of digital public services are developing common principles for better access to digital information and services. Their efforts are focused on user-friendliness, effectiveness and comprehensibility. Where appropriate, uniformity should also be improved to enable users to find their way around more easily. The currently very mixed, fragmented portal landscape should evolve into a recognisable information network.
In order to meet all of these demands, multimedia content, accessibility content, manuals, best practices and standards, as well as studies and pilot projects on new methods and technologies are to be used.
